Kenna Smith-Geldmacher

Academy Coach

Kennedy Smith

bio

Kenna is a proud Albuquerque native with a deep passion for volleyball and personal development. She played for Sandia High School for three years and has been immersed in the sport for nine years, including five years of competitive play. While she specialized as a libero, she often jokes that she could easily shine as an all-star middle!

Coaching holds a special place in her heart. After coaching for a season at ARVC before heading to college, Kenna realized how fulfilling it is to pass on the knowledge and skills her coaches shared with her. Her goal is to nurture young athletes, helping them grow into the best versions of themselves and achieve things they never thought possible.

Currently, she is studying diagnostic medical sonography, eager to find her niche within this vital field. Believing that everyone is stronger and smarter than they think, she lives by the quote, “Great athletes are made when the coach isn’t watching.”

Outside of sports, Kenna is a movie buff at heart—if she could, she would happily reside in a theater or explore a career as an actress! She also proudly completed a fire academy, finishing in the top three of her class, an experience that challenged her like no other.

Above all, Kenna gives all the glory to God for the opportunities and experiences that shape her journey.
