Leighton Ervin, from Albuquerque, New Mexico, is in her second year of coaching for ARVC. She started her volleyball career in 5th grade and continued on into her freshman year of college. A four-year setter for Hope Christian, Leighton led her team to two undefeated seasons and garnered All District and All State honors her last three years in high school volleyball.
Leighton played six years of competitive club volleyball for New Mexico Juniors, including one appearance at the Girls Junior National Championships during her 15s year.
Leighton went on to play college volleyball at Iowa Central where her team won a regional championship and placed 10th at the NJCAA Division 1 National Championships. She then transferred to Northwestern Oklahoma. She is now a full time nursing student with the goal of becoming a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit.
