Coach Rhea was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she attended and gradtuated from Del Norte High School.

Don't let her height fool you, coach had hops! During her prep years, she played Middle Blocker for Del Norte High and for our OG Shock Team at ARVC!

Coach Rhea's love for volleyball has lead her to Head Coaching at Cleveland Middle School for the past 5 years. In addition, she began coaching with ARVC right after she finished playing her last season with us.

Outside of volleyball, for the past 9 years, she has been a registered nurse working in the recovery room. We are fortunate to have such an incredible healthcare worker continuing to coach with us.

Coach Rhea Faynes Philosophy - 

"Teaching is my passion both as a nurse and as a coach, as much as I give my all its just as rewarding for me to support player growth and development throughout their young adult lives. I miss playing at such an incredible caliber and thoroughly enjoy seeing the spirit and joy of volleyball within my players. No matter how small the goal, they work hard for big achievements. I plan to continue coaching with ARVC and begin nurse practitioner school this year in family practice."
