Coach Gonzales is a New Mexico Native who graduated from West Las Vegas High School in 2001. While in high school she was a multi-sport athlete participating in volleyball, basketball and Track. She was also Valedictorian! She was a 6-rotation middle blocker for West Las Vegas and earned North Volleyball Player of the Year in 2001. She went on to play for a full academic and athletic scholarship where she continued to play Middle Blcoker and DS at NMHU in Las Vegas, NM. When she wasn't killing on the court she continued her legacy by earning herself a Bachelors in Business Administration-Accounting.

After college, Coach Gonozales went on to coach for various schools and clubs such as West Las Vegas, Angels of Albuquerque, NM Juniors, Hope Christian MS and most recently Robertson High School. In 2021 she helped lead Robinson High School into a triumphant year - Disctrict Champions, 3A State Championship, AND an undefeated season. Her hard work earned her the title of 2021 NMHSCA Volleyball Coach of the Year.

In addition to her tremendous career as a player and coach, her greatest achievements have been with her family.She has been married for 19 years and has 4 children: Jaylee, Nathan, Donovan, and Alyssa.  She enjoys spending time with her family and can usually be found  in a gym or field somewhere watching them play sports.

"My philosophy for coaching is that Volleyball is not the most important thing in life, but while we are on the court, we will act like it is."
