Mari Montoya

Coach Mari is from Las Vegas, NM, and began her passion for volleyball in the 6th grade. She moved to Albuquerque at 13, where she played for ARVC from 2014 to 2017 & Volcano Vista from 2015 – 2017 until she tore her ACL.

Undeterred, Mari remains deeply involved in volleyball, playing in a league and recently venturing into coaching. We’re honored to have one of our alumni’s return to share their passion with our young Rebels. This is Maris 2nd year coaching at ARVC.

Mari recently graduated from The University of New Mexico with a degree in Psychology, she is pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling this spring (2024).
