Marisol Gallegos

Coach Mari is a proud Albuquerque native and an alumna of ARVC! Having grown up in the city, she has a deep connection to our volleyball community and is excited to return as a Head Coach for her third season. A 2024 graduate, Mari is currently pursuing a nursing degree at the University of New Mexico while continuing her passion for volleyball.

Coach Mari, has been playing volleyball competitively since 6th grade and played for ARVC 17 National 2 team her Junior year of High School. Her love for the sport and desire to give back to her community inspired her to begin coaching. ARVC actively pursued Mari to come back to ARVC and coach her Senior year. Marisol has always shown an determination to achieve whatever goals she sets for herself, held herself with a poise and respect that is not often seen in young people her age. We knew she’d have an impact unlike other coaches making her special. She believes in the power of continuous improvement and encourages her athletes to always strive for greatness. Her coaching philosophy centers around the idea that there are always opportunities to grow, both as players and as individuals.

Outside of coaching, Mari enjoys playing the piano and going on hikes, finding balance and inspiration in nature and music. As head coach, she is committed to building a positive, growth-oriented environment where young athletes can develop their skills and confidence both on and off the court. We can’t express our excitement in the opportunity to watch what this young coach will bring not just to our athletes and organization, but, to all the athlete’s lucky enough to be coached by her.
