Coach Steve was born and raised in Albuquerque where he played high school volleyball and later attended UNM as a student.
He has been coaching since 1997 on and off for 20 plus years. He has coached at Cibola High School, Sandia Prep, and is currently entering his 10th season as the Head Coach and his 15th season overall at La Cueva High School! He helped lead the Bears to five State Championships (15′, 18′, 19′, 21′ & 22′) & three semi-finals (16′, 17′, 20′). His accomplishments with the Bears continue with eight District Championships and six Metro Championships!
Coach Steve has also been coaching Club since 2006. He entering his third season coaching with ARVC. He coached our 2017 13N2s & 2022 17N2s.
