Overview
We are excited to announce Chile Spike United- Rylee Lawson Memorial as a community event for the sixth season! The four clubs listed below are working together to make Chile Spike United an event with significant competition for all levels!
Miss Rylee Lawson passed away at the young age of 12 after going into cardiac arrest from a severe asthma attack. Rylee was a part of the Albuquerque Volleyball Community, and we wish to honor her memory with this event. We will provide special awards to those who demonstrate their kind nature and beautiful smile during this event.
RYLEE LAWSON AWARD:
We ask all coaches to participate in the Rylee Lawson Memorial Award nominations every season. When coaches arrive please take your roster to turn into the site director at your location, all coaches will be given two cards to nominate a player from an opposing team to be considered for the 2024 Rylee Lawson Memorial Award. All of these nominees will be posted on this website after the event. We ask that athletes be nominated for exhibiting incredible sportsmanship and behavior with their team, opposing team, and officials. Coaches, please jot down jersey numbers and team names of players you would like considered throughout Saturday’s pool play and turn them into your site directors. You may only nominate two athletes, so make notes from each game and choose your stand-out. We will choose the athlete who earns the award on Saturday night after all PM pools are complete.
